Family Check-Up
Family Check-Up is a strength-based intervention backed by more than 30 years of research that empowers parents to make positive changes to promote the well-being of their children and family. It is a data-driven and easy-to-use program proven to reduce family problems, behaviors, and improve parenting and family management practices.
Program Sessions
- Initial Interview - a comprehensive introduction to establish rapport and understand the family's situation
- Child and Family Assessment - a comprehensive evaluation to identify the needs and strengths of the family
- Feedback Session - provider and parent collaboratively set goals and plan follow-up services such as Everyday Parenting

Eligibility
- Families with children aged 2–17
- Child must be a resident of North Dakota
- Child may be at risk of out-of-home placement
- Child must be living in a parental or caregiver home
